All Out War
Alexandria, the Hilltop and the Kingdom rise against Negan.
"All Out War" is the comic book storyline (issues #115-126, "All Out War Part I & II") that the television series adapted in its eighth season: Rick Grimes, Maggie, leading the Hilltop, and King Ezekiel of the Kingdom unite their communities in a rebellion against Negan and the Saviors.

Lore & Background
The war is the answer to the Saviors' rule, under which the communities had to hand over half of their supplies, and to Negan's killing of Abraham and Glenn at the start of the seventh season. Rick's army marches on the Sanctuary, the Saviors' foundry base.
Reader's Guide
During the war Carl is bitten by a walker and dies. Negan kills his own lieutenant Simon, who had turned against him. At the end Rick cuts Negan's throat but, honouring Carl's last wishes, lets him live and imprisons him.
