Plot

Renwaldo, an eggsmith, is unfulfilled after a lifetime of making and repairing eggs for the rich. Desiring a son, he makes one out of egg yolks, using two buttons as eyes, his own scalp and unused brain, and pants from a corpse retrieved by Stimpleton. The son melts instantly, so Renwaldo goes to bed disappointed and prays for the slight chance of his son being alive, then rudely ends the prayer before sleeping while Stimpleton is locked in a cage.

In the night, a beheaded chicken fairy blesses the son with salt. In the morning, Stimpleton watches television with the now-sentient son; Renwaldo notices, yelps, and names the child Eggyölkeo. He accidentally beheads Eggyölkeo with a ceiling fan but restores him. At breakfast, Renwaldo teaches Eggyölkeo to use a spoon, which he imitates by eating part of his own body.

Renwaldo then teaches him to drive a luxury car, which Eggyölkeo does perfectly but crashes into rubbish bins. An anthropomorphic toast and bacon stalk and abduct Eggyölkeo from his bed in the refrigerator, forcing him to drive to the Island of Lost Meals. A devastated Renwaldo makes a replica from fruit, drinks a mix of ketchup and baking soda, and throws a tantrum; Stimpleton lands on him eating a hot dog, unfazed. At the Island of Lost Meals, a bar of anthropomorphic food, the toast and bacon make Eggyölkeo walk the skillet into boiling butter, but a Colonel stops them for illicit activities. The toast and bacon give Eggyölkeo to the Colonel to be spared but are eaten instead.

Production

This episode, a parody of Pinocchio, became infamous for its chaotic production. Storyboarder Stephen DeStefano had envisioned it as his Ren & Stimpy masterpiece, but after finishing, he admitted it failed as both a cartoon and a storyboard. Originally planned as a half-hour special, the network forced a cut to 11 minutes, which derailed the production and resulted in a nearly incomprehensible plot. Like the companion episode "It's a Dog's Life," the animation was handled by Taiwan's Wang Film Productions. Their work fell short of the quality delivered by other subcontractors on the show, such as Vancouver's Carbunkle studio or the Seoul branch of Rough Draft Studios, the latter already known for the series' noticeable decline.
