Jake Thayne
Earth's archer and alchemist, friend and Chosen of the Malefic Viper.
Jake Thayne is the protagonist of The Primal Hunter. When Earth is integrated into the multiverse and the System, he quickly stands out among humanity thanks to his rare Bloodline of the Primal Hunter, which gives him an innate gift for hunting, survival and ranged combat; he was already a skilled archer before the System arrived. During the Tutorial he stumbles on a challenge dungeon and meets the Malefic Viper, a Primordial and one of the oldest gods of the multiverse. Because his bloodline lets him see the Viper as an equal rather than a god to fear, the two become friends, and the Viper mentors him in alchemy. Jake is the City Owner of Haven, a fast-growing city on Earth.
