Valdemar

The Wargod, the Primordial who reached godhood with nothing but an axe.

Valdemar, widely known as the Wargod, is one of the twelve Primordials and the leader of Valhal. He is regarded as the physically strongest of the Primordials: unable to grasp magic, he abandoned mana entirely and climbed from the lowest rung of mortality to godhood with nothing but an axe. Originally human, he was the first human to ascend to godhood, an achievement that greatly improved humanity's Records. He is married to Gudrun, who runs Valhal's day-to-day operations.

Background

His tales begin with the System arriving mid-battle while he was a lowly soldier holding his father's old axe; he ignored it and kept cleaving. He became a mercenary, was made king and conquered his planet, then, bored by politics, split an invading planet in two and found he could breathe in space. He once clashed with the Malefic Viper over a treasure and won while out-levelled, and was among the eight Primordials who moved to stop the Viper's rampage in the 7th era. A level-zero copy of him later fought Jake in the Nevermore challenge dungeon.
