Kept Secret But Not Forgotten is the main quest in The Outer Worlds where the Stranger takes control of the Hope. Phineas Welles wants the ship skipped to Terra 2, near his lab, so he can revive its colonists; Sophia Akande wants it skipped to Tartarus.

Background
The Stranger docks at the Hope, reroutes power from the Unreliable to the Hope's auxiliary supply to restart its skip drive, and patches the ship's AI, ADA, into the Hope's communications. Up to this point the player can follow both Welles' and the Board's quest lines; here they must choose. A Stranger with low intelligence can also try to pilot the ship by hand, which sends the Hope into Halcyon's sun and ends the game. The quest follows The City and the Stars or Foundation and leads to Brave New World.
