Lore & Background
Ellie tells Dina that Joel killed the Fireflies in Salt Lake City, including Abby's father, to save her. Jesse learns Dina is pregnant with his child and argues with Ellie about her selfishness. Using what Nora told her, Ellie works out that Abby is at an aquarium. Meanwhile WLF leader Isaac readies an attack on the Seraphites' island. Swept onto that island by a wave, Ellie is captured, escapes in the chaos of the WLF assault, and reaches the aquarium.
It was filmed in July and August 2024, mostly in downtown Vancouver. The writers ended on a cliffhanger, as the game does, signalling the third season's switch to Abby's point of view. It drew 3.7 million viewers on its first day.
