Kathleen Coghlan
The Kansas City resistance leader set on vengeance.
Kathleen Coghlan is a character created for HBO's The Last of Us, played by Melanie Lynskey. She leads a revolutionary movement in Kansas City, having taken over the resistance after the death of her brother, Michael, for which she blames Henry.
Lore & Background
When Joel and Ellie kill some of her men, she suspects Henry and orders a search of the city; her second-in-command, Perry, finds Henry's empty room, where the floor of a storage room is buckling over something moving below, but she has him hide it until Henry is found. Though Michael had told her to forgive Henry, she vows vengeance. As she prepares to kill Henry, a truck crashes through the ground and releases a mass of infected that wipes out her forces. Craig Mazin created her as the leader of the hunters who appear in the game.
