Background
The film opens with a married couple, John and Mary, woken by knocks at their doors and windows; the intruders break in and write messages in blood before the police arrive. The next night Sharon, Jay, Wojciech and Abigail celebrate Abigail's move back to Boston with dinner at El Coyote before returning to Sharon's house.
A visitor, Steven, is attacked with a sledgehammer in the driveway, Wojciech is stabbed, Jay is killed on the couch and the word Pig is written in blood on the front door. Abigail escapes to the street, but Sharon and Wojciech are dragged away.
Produced by New Line Cinema and The Safran Company and distributed by Warner Bros., it opened in India on October 21, 2016, in Germany and the United Kingdom in March 2017 and on Digital HD in the United States on April 18, 2017. Critics panned it, with a rare 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, calling its depiction of the Tate murders exploitative.
