The Perron Family
The Rhode Island family whose farmhouse haunting began The Conjuring.
The Perron family is the household at the centre of The Conjuring (2013). In 1971 Roger and Carolyn Perron move into a farmhouse in Harrisville, Rhode Island, with their five daughters, Andrea, Nancy, Christine, Cindy and April. Their dog Sadie will not enter the house, the family finds a boarded-up cellar, and strange events begin within days: every clock stops at 3:07 a.m. and Carolyn wakes with new bruises.

Background
Carolyn calls in Ed and Lorraine Warren, who learn that the land once belonged to Bathsheba Sherman, an accused witch who sacrificed her baby and killed herself in 1863 after cursing anyone who took her land. Bathsheba possesses Carolyn and tries to make her kill her daughters; Ed performs the exorcism himself, and Lorraine reaches Carolyn through a family memory. The Warrens take a music box from the house for their collection of cursed objects.
Lili Taylor plays Carolyn and Ron Livingston plays Roger. The film's marketing featured the real Perron family.
