Gameplay
The game includes standard Tetris and BomBliss. In BomBliss, falling pieces may contain bombs. Filled rows do not disappear; bombs explode depending on how many rows are filled at once. Rows filled with no bombs increase the next explosion's size. Four bombs forming an O tetromino become a larger bomb. BomBliss uses sticky line clear gravity, allowing chain reactions.
Development
Tsunekazu Ishihara, passionate about Tetris, wrote a strategy guide and later met Chunsoft president Koichi Nakamura. Ishihara gathered Nakamura and Masanobu Endo to create new rules, forming BomBliss. Henk Rogers' company Bullet-Proof Software allowed use of the Tetris brand and included a Tetris version.
