The Tetris Company, Inc. (TTC) manages the Tetris brand and licenses it to third parties. It is an American company based in Nevada, owned by Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov and Henk Rogers, and is the exclusive licensee of Tetris Holding LLC, which owns the Tetris rights worldwide. The company requires the Korobeiniki theme in every version of the game since 2002 and holds a sound trademark on that arrangement for video games.
