Questions
Writing for Insider, Libby Torres noted seven unresolved questions after the documentary claimed the mystery was solved. Among them: who edited the elevator video of Elisa, which shows signs of tampering; police sniffer dogs did not find her body at the location where it was later discovered; and the hotel took no action after being informed of Elisa's strange behavior. Former hotel manager Amy Price explained that such behavior was typical at the hotel, which housed drug addicts, mentally ill individuals, and sex workers, and that Lam's actions did not warrant special attention. Torres questioned whether more assistance could have prevented her death.
