Cast

Rachel Osterbach works at an insurance company and is known for brightening any room. She is a fan of Adam Lambert and often develops crushes, seeking a serious romantic relationship. Sean McElwee describes himself as a ladies' man, but he is also a multi-talented athlete and a caring friend. His mother, Sandra, has written three books about Sean's journey through school and beyond. As his parents downsize and move, Sean works toward greater independence and eventually living on his own. John Tucker expresses himself through music, writing, and dance, particularly as a rapper. He is working on his debut album, JT: The Project, with support from his mother, Joyce, and his large family, and aims to advance his music career. Steven Clark has Mosaic Down syndrome, meaning not every cell in his body carries the extra 21st chromosome, so he does not have all typical characteristics of Down syndrome. Growing up, he often felt in the middle and strives to fit in. Cristina Sanz has been in a relationship with her husband, Angel Callahan, for six years. Her family is from Spain, and she enjoys learning Spanish and cooking traditional Spanish meals, hoping to continue building an independent life with Angel. Megan Bomgaars created a video titled Don't Limit Me and now speaks at events nationwide promoting inclusion. She runs a tie dye clothing company called Megology, and her mother, Kris, is known as her Dream Maker; the two are inseparable. Elena Ashmore was born in Japan to a Japanese mother, Hiromi, and an Australian father, Stephen, and this multicultural background influences her life. She practices traditional Japanese Taiko drumming and cooking, and has struggled with accepting herself and her disability, which prompts other cast members to reflect on their own self-images and ideas of adulthood with Down syndrome.
