Chilaiditi syndrome
Painful complication of colonic interposition between diaphragm and liver.
Last updated
Chilaiditi syndrome is a rare condition in which pain results from the interposition of a loop of large intestine, usually the transverse colon, between the diaphragm and the liver. It is distinguished from the asymptomatic anatomical variant Chilaiditi's sign, which can be mistaken for pneumoperitoneum.
