Mirror Universe

Star Trek's parallel universe of violent doubles and the Terran Empire.

The Mirror Universe is a parallel universe in the Star Trek franchise, existing alongside but separate from the main Star Trek universe and populated by more violent and opportunistic doubles of its people. In place of the United Federation of Planets it has the human-dominated, totalitarian Terran Empire, which values war, despotism and conquest. It is named after "Mirror, Mirror", the Original Series episode in which it first appeared, and was later visited in five episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, the two-part Star Trek: Enterprise episode "In a Mirror, Darkly" and a storyline in the first season of Star Trek: Discovery.
