The history of the Klingon people and their empire.

Klingon history is the violent but colourful history of the Klingon people and their empire in Star Trek. According to Klingon lore, Qo'noS was ruled in the 10th century AD by the tyrant Molor until Kahless the Unforgettable, a commoner, stood against Molor's troops at Qam-Chee and later slew him in single combat at the River Skral with the first bat'leth, the Sword of Kahless. Kahless then ruled with his new wife as Emperor of Qo'noS, establishing the First Empire, uniting the Great Houses and setting a code of honour that became the template for Klingon society for centuries.
