Background
Players sleep in a large dormitory of stacked bunk beds; as the beds are removed after each round, murals on the walls turn out to show every game. Above them hangs the giant piggy bank that fills with money as players die. Staff run the games from a control room, the Front Man watches from his own quarters, and the bodies of eliminated players are taken away in coffins and burned in an incinerator. In the first season Hwang Jun-ho reaches the island by stowing away on a ferry; in the second, he and Gi-hun's allies search the sea for it. At the end of the third season In-ho has the venue blown up as a coast guard ship approaches, destroying the arenas.
