SINoALICE was a mobile role-playing game for Android and iOS, created by Pokelabo and directed by Yoko Taro, known for the Drakengard and NieR series. Square Enix launched it in Japan in June 2017, with a global release following in July 2020. Its story takes place in a Library where storybook characters try to bring their authors back to life by collecting life essence and battling Nightmares, all while knowing they will eventually have to turn on each other. The music came from Keiichi Okabe, Keigo Hoashi, and Shotaro Seo. A manga and a film, SINoALICE: The Very Last Story, were also made.
