Plot

The story takes place on the Ark Arena, 10,000 years before the events of the first game. The protagonist Vieg is partnered with his pregnant wife Vahti. Other characters include Vahti's parents Olgar and Rachel, Ayuta and Kushina, and Cyllis and Yorath. The Agent presents the same setup as in the original Chaos Rings, and Vieg challenges him. Olgar joins Vieg, and they attempt to fight the Agent but lose badly. The Agent summons the Executioner, but Vahti and Rachel intervene, and the Agent relents, calling off the Executioner because he cannot afford to lose so many participants so soon.

Vahti goes into labor, and Rachel assists. Vieg and Olgar find the first two rings. The Agent then announces the first matches: Ayuta and Kushina versus Cyllis and Yorath, and Olgar and Rachel versus Vieg and Vahti. Vieg and Olgar protest that Vahti is in labor, and the Agent agrees to delay the match until the child is born, noting the offspring's importance. Vahti gives birth to a baby boy named Ohm. Rachel stays to help Vahti recover while the others go to the arena. Olgar tells Vieg his plan is a long shot: they fight to the death to see which is stronger. Vieg reluctantly defeats Olgar, but when the Executioner appears to finish Olgar, Olgar attacks it. Olgar's plan was to lure out the Executioner, which is weaker than the Agent, and fight it separately. Vieg joins, and they kill the Executioner.

Meanwhile, Kushina is killed by Cyllis and Yorath. Ayuta sobs over her, and Cyllis reveals her target is Theia, Ayuta's original partner. Cyllis and Yorath kill Ayuta offscreen. When Olgar and Vieg return, the Ark is quiet. They find Rachel's clothes in a gory mess in the room. The Agent calls them, and Olgar and Vieg confront him, believing he killed Rachel. The Agent denies involvement but says the situation has changed and it has no use for them. Olgar and Vieg fight the Agent and are losing when Cyllis and Yorath appear. Yorath kills the Agent in one hit. The Agent comments that it recognizes a genetic pattern in them and cannot contact the Master before dying.
