Synopsis

Yang Kang-chil, a convict, serves 16 years for a murder he did not commit, protected by his best friend and guardian angel Gook-soo. After a near-death event, Gook-soo tells Kang-chil he will have three such miracles and will survive only if he learns from each. Released, Kang-chil becomes a carpenter and falls in love with veterinarian Jang Ji-na, described as a selfish woman who is nonetheless drawn to him. Complications arise when Ji-na's uncle is revealed as the victim in Kang-chil's case, and her father, a police inspector who arrested Kang-chil, pursues him again out of revenge. Ji-na's mother, convinced of Kang-chil's innocence, visited him in prison and contacted a lawyer, but died after a prison visit, leading the family to blame Kang-chil. To prove his innocence and save his relationship, Kang-chil seeks evidence against the real murderer, Park Chan-gul.
