Combat Combos
A darker, grittier combat system with dual-wielding, throwable weapons, and expanded combo strings.
Warrior Within builds upon the combat of The Sands of Time, adding new features such as the ability to wield two weapons at a time, steal enemies' weapons and throw them, and expanded combat move strings that allow more complex attacks. The Prince's repertoire includes various gory finishing moves, and a new sand power: a circular 'wave' that knocks down and damages surrounding enemies.

Lore & Background
The game is set seven years after The Sands of Time. The Prince is hunted by the Dahaka for meddling with the Sands. He travels to the Island of Time to prevent the Empress of Time from creating the Sands. The canonical ending involves the Prince acquiring the Water Sword to kill the Dahaka, after which he and Kaileena leave the island together.
Reader's Guide
The combat system emphasizes a free-flow fighting style using the environment, fifty-eight secondary weapons, and acrobatic combos. Off-hand weapons have varying bonuses and penalties, can be thrown, and have limited durability. Enemies can be encountered anywhere, and some respawn when revisiting locations. The Prince uses the Medallion of Time for rewind, slow-down, speed-up, and area-of-effect sand powers drawn from a unified pool of sand tanks.
