Mulligan is an American animated apocalyptic sitcom created by Sam Means and Robert Carlock for Netflix. It premiered on May 12, 2023, with Part 2 released on May 24, 2024. The series follows working-class hero Matty Mulligan, who becomes President of the human race after defeating an alien invasion.

Cast
Nat Faxon voices Matty Mulligan, the working-class man who saved Earth and became President. Chrissy Teigen plays Lucy Suwan, Earth's de facto First Lady and Matty's romantic partner. Tina Fey portrays Dr. Farrah Braun, a single mom and super scientist. Sam Richardson is Simon Prioleau, a historian and Matty's right-hand man. Dana Carvey voices Senator Cartwright LaMarr, who appointed himself Vice-President of Earth and seeks to restore the past. Phil LaMarr plays Axatrax, a well-regarded alien general held prisoner in the White House bowling alley. Daniel Radcliffe voices King Jeremy Fitzhogg, a party-boy who declared himself King after the British royal family's deaths. Kevin Michael Richardson is TOD-209, the Pentagon's military cyborg trying to recall his humanity. Ayo Edebiri plays General Scarpaccio/Jayson Moody, an aimless teenager heading the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Ronny Chieng voices Johnny Zhao, a billionaire from Hong Kong working with LaMarr to revive money's importance. Additional cast includes Toks Olagundoye, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Questlove, Andy Samberg, Ted Danson, Maria Thayer, Rachel Dratch, Will Arnett, Kyle Selig, Jeff Richmond, Pepper Teigen, Jack Grabow, David Herman, Grey Griffin, Will Forte, Kaitlin Olson, and Chelsea Peretti.
Production
The 20-episode series was first announced in January 2021, with Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, and Sam Means producing and Ayo Edebiri as co-producer. Dan Rubin, an executive producer from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, also worked on it, alongside executive producers Eric Gurian, David Miner, Scott Greenberg, and Joel Kuwahara. By June 2021, Emmy Magazine reported a likely 2022 premiere, calling it a "novel medium" with a "far-out premise" and noting all episodes had Zoom table reads. It actually premiered on Netflix on May 12, 2023, with Part 2 arriving on May 24, 2024.
