Reader's Guide
Faldo's 1990 Open win was part of a dominant stretch where he won two majors in one year. His disciplined play and rebuilt swing under David Leadbetter made him a regular contender. He finished tied for 3rd at the 1990 U.S. Open at Medinah, missing a playoff by one stroke.
