Tiger Woods
The most dominant force in golf history who redefined the limits of athletic performance.
Eldrick Tont "Tiger" Woods, born December 30, 1975, is an American professional golfer. Considered one of the sport's all-time greats and a modern global sports icon, he shares the record for most PGA Tour wins, sits second in men's major championship victories, holds numerous golf records, and is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. After a standout junior, college, and amateur run, Woods turned pro in 1996 at age 20. He captured his first major at the 1997 Masters, winning by a record 12 strokes. By winning the 2001 Masters, he became the only golfer to hold all four major titles simultaneously over a single calendar year, a feat called the "Tiger Slam."
