Lore & Background
In The Blood of Olympus, Nico, Reyna and Coach Hedge shadow-travel with the Athena Parthenos from Epirus, Greece, to Camp Half-Blood, stopping in San Juan and South Carolina along the way. Hunted by Orion, they repeatedly shadow travel away before he can catch them, and when Lycaon melts into a pool of darkness, Nico uses it to shadow travel himself, his companions and the statue away from the remaining werewolves.
