Biography
Bastide completed her baccalaureate in 1997 and then spent a year in a literary preparatory class. She earned a degree in International Relations from the Institute of Political Studies in Strasbourg in 2002, and later a master's degree in Gender Studies from University of Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis. After graduating from the Training Center for Journalists in 2005, she worked at Reuters and Le Monde. Her writing appeared in Lurve and Antidote from 2009 to 2014. She spent ten years on the editorial staff of Elle, eventually becoming editor-in-chief of the news pages. With Sophie Fontanel, she founded DailyElle in April 2012, the online version of the magazine. Bastide made her television debut on Le Grand 8 in 2012, later appearing on Stylia and Le Grand Journal. In 2016 she co-founded a production studio with Julien Neuville and launched the podcast La Poudre, featuring conversations with women artists, intellectuals, and politicians. From July 2017 she has hosted the weekly show Les Savantes on France Inter.
