Career

Conte first entered the Malta Eurovision Song Contest in 2017 with the song "Don't Look Down", finishing last among sixteen entries with 156 points. The following year she competed again, placing 12th with 14 points. In 2018 she joined the talent show X Factor Malta as part of the group 4th Line, reaching the final stage; she left the group in 2019. That same year she participated as a soloist in the second edition of X Factor Malta but did not reach the final. She also contributed to "Roll the Dice", the anthem for Malta's Pride Week in 2019, alongside other Maltese artists. In the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2022 she placed 6th with "Look What You've Done Now". For the 2024 edition she entered with "Venom", qualified from the semi-finals, and finished ninth in the final with 25 points. In 2025 she won the Malta Eurovision Song Contest with "Kant", earning 182 points and first place via televoting. After a complaint reportedly lodged by the BBC under Ofcom regulations, the EBU requested the removal of the word from the song and title. Despite backlash in Malta, including from PBS and government officials, the title was changed to "Serving" and a new music video was released on 13 March. Conte qualified from the second semi-final on 15 May and placed 17th in the Grand Final on 17 May, receiving 91 points (83 from the jury).
