Format
Auditions take place on a theater stage over several episodes, where participants display talents such as dance, singing, humor, and acrobatics. Each jury member can press a red button to stop a performance; if all four press it, the performance ends and the contestant is eliminated. In the second stage, contestants who received three or four positive votes from the judges perform again to reach the semifinals, with the judges deliberating before announcing who advances.
Production
The idea for a Uruguayan adaptation emerged in March 2019. In July 2019, Natalia Oreiro was confirmed as presenter. By early August, three jury members were revealed: María Noel Riccetto, Orlando Petinatti, and Claudia Fernández. On September 1, Agustín Casanova confirmed his participation. From November to December 2019, the production team toured all 19 departments, calling over 10,000 people. Audition filming began in February 2020 at theaters including the Spanish Theater, Politeama Theater, Florencio Sánchez Theater, Convention Center, and El Galpón Theater. The second stage was filmed from August 12, 2020, at the Nelly Goitiño Auditorium without an audience due to COVID-19 restrictions. Semifinals were held there, and the final at the Antel Arena. A second season was announced on September 14, 2020, premiering April 12, 2021, filmed only at El Galpón Theater, with the final on September 20 at the National Auditorium.
