Lore & Background

Aslan's Country is a realm of mountains tens of thousands of feet high, yet without snow or ice. The sky is clear blue, the grass lush green, and the air filled with colourful birds and beautiful trees. It lies beyond Narnia's rising sun at the Utter East, and rings around the whole Narnian world. Entrances exist from all worlds, including Narnia and Earth. In *The Voyage of the Dawn Treader*, the eastern sea transforms into shallow grassy shallows where water becomes land, hinting at its proximity, though Aslan turns back living travelers whose duty remains elsewhere. Its true nature is unveiled after Narnia's end in *The Last Battle*: when fire and ice consume the world, survivors pass through a narrow door into a landscape that expands with every step.

In Their Own Story

Upon crossing the threshold after Narnia's destruction, the water beneath the feet ceases to be wet and turns soft as moss. The sky opens like a curtain drawn back by invisible hands, erasing the horizon for a path of light through green hills that seem to breathe. A voice calls not with words, but with the profound weight of homecoming, guiding the traveler forward into warmth while leaving the cold world behind.

Reader's Guide

Access requires completion of earthly tasks. In *The Voyage of the Dawn Treader*, Aslan barred living travelers from staying, insisting their work lay in returning home. True entry occurs only after Narnia's final destruction in *The Last Battle*. Survivors pass through a narrow door into a realm where light intensifies and landscapes deepen with every step. It is the destination for those freed from false gods and winter, where Aslan's voice guides without corruption.
