About
Ramandu appears as an old man with a silver beard reaching his bare feet, dressed in a robe seemingly made from the fleece of silver sheep. Once a star, he grew too old and descended to the island at the beginning of the end of the world, where he lived with his unnamed daughter, who later became the wife of Caspian X and Queen of Narnia. Each morning they sang a song during dawn, perhaps causing the sun to rise. White birds then flew from the valleys of the sun and settled over the island; one bird carried a fire-berry and placed it in Ramandu's mouth. Each fire-berry made him younger, until as an infant he would become a star again.
