Lore & Background
After his mother was killed by a green serpent, Rilian kept returning to the place of her death to hunt it, until he vanished without trace; by the time Eustace Scrubb and Jill Pole reach Narnia he has been missing for ten years. With the marsh-wiggle Puddleglum they search for him in the north, meeting the Lady of the Green Kirtle and her silent knight in black armour, and follow them underground to the Shallow Lands she rules.
