Mana
The power that fills the Six-Faced World and fuels all magic.
Mana (Maryoku, literally "magical power") is a form of power that permeates the Six-Faced World and exists within nearly all living things. It is the energy source for magic and can also be used inside the body for techniques such as Battle Aura. According to the research of the ancient Dragon Tribe, the six worlds share one common power that each world called by its own name: Dragon Power in the Dragon World, mana in the Demon World. Absorbing abnormally large concentrations of it can turn animals into monsters and give humans unusually powerful or specialized traits, and it tends toward equilibrium among the worlds, so that a large loss in one world draws power from another, carrying trees, animals and people along in naturally occurring teleportation.
Mana capacity, the amount of mana a body can hold and use, is commonly believed to be fixed at birth, but Rudeus Greyrat showed that it can be greatly increased by using mana repeatedly in early childhood.
