Background
Hazard data and map sections turn out to be missing from the team's survey packet, and the only other known expedition, DeltFall, is found murdered. The scientists learn that their SecUnit is autonomous and once killed 57 people, yet mostly decide to trust it. A third expedition, GrayCris, is behind the attacks; Murderbot stalls them while the team triggers an emergency beacon. Mensah afterwards buys its contract, but Murderbot slips away on a cargo ship.
