System Collapse is a Murderbot Diaries book and the series' second full-length novel, published on November 14, 2023. It picks up after Network Effect, when the Barish-Estranza corporation sends rescue ships and more SecUnits to a newly colonised planet in trouble.

Background

Murderbot suspects Barish-Estranza means to leave with the colonists as a free workforce if it cannot keep the planet. ART's crew and the humans from Preservation try to protect the colony, while Murderbot itself is not running within normal parameters and has to work out what is wrong with it.
