The Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center (TCO Performance Center) is a 40-acre sports complex in Eagan, Minnesota, serving as the headquarters and practice facility for the Minnesota Vikings. Lore & Background
The Vikings' previous headquarters, Winter Park in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, had been in use since 1981 but eventually became inadequate due to limited office space and deteriorating training amenities. In August 2015, the team signed a purchase agreement for a 185-acre site in Eagan that had once been the headquarters of Northwest Airlines. Ground was broken on August 2, 2016, the same day the Vikings announced a 20-year naming-rights partnership with Twin Cities Orthopedics; financial terms were not disclosed. The team moved into the facility in early 2018, with an official ribbon-cutting on June 15, 2018.
The move ended the Vikings' long association with Minnesota State University, Mankato, which had hosted training camp for over 50 years. Beginning in summer 2018, training camp has been held at TCO Performance Center, drawing approximately 5,000 fans per day from late July to mid-August. The on-site TCO Stadium, with a permanent capacity of 6,000 seats expandable to 10,000, was designed with a primary focus on hosting high school and youth football events, and also hosts soccer and lacrosse.
