The Sandman (William Baker, also known as Flint Marko) is a Marvel Comics character created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, first appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man #4 (September 1963). An accident gave him the power to turn himself into sand, and he began as a recurring enemy of Spider-Man.

He is a founding member of both the Sinister Six and the Frightful Four and has also fought the Fantastic Four. Over time he has been redeemed into an antihero, at times an ally of Spider-Man and a reserve member of the Avengers. Thomas Haden Church played him in Spider-Man 3 (2007) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).
