Background
Stan Lee and Jack Kirby created Susan "Sue" Storm, who first appeared in The Fantastic Four #1 in November 1961. She is a founding member of the Fantastic Four and was the first female superhero Marvel published in the Silver Age. A cosmic storm gave her two powers: she can turn herself and other things invisible by bending light, and she can project invisible fields of psionic energy for shields, blasts, explosions and levitation. She went by Invisible Girl in her early years with the team. Her family is at the heart of the team: her younger brother Johnny Storm, her husband Reed Richards, their close friend Ben Grimm and her children Franklin and Valeria. On screen she has been played by Jessica Alba (2005 and 2007), Kate Mara (2015) and Vanessa Kirby in The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025).
Invisible Woman is a Strategist. Her passive, Covert Advance, makes her invisible after 7 seconds without attacking or taking damage, and she regenerates 20 health per second while hidden; attacking, being hit or using any ability except Veiled Step breaks it. Orb Projection, her primary attack, throws orbs of psionic energy that fly out about 30 metres and come back, dealing 30 damage to enemies and healing allies for 40 on the way through, so one orb can hit the same target twice.
Agile Strike is a three-hit melee combo of two punches and a knockback push. Veiled Step gives her a double jump that turns her invisible at once (6-second cooldown). Guardian Shield places a 250-durability psionic shield in front of her or on an ally that blocks projectiles and heals allies near it for 40 per second; she can move it or recall it, and its cooldown depends on how damaged it was. Force Physics lets her choose a force push or pull for 55 damage (8-second cooldown).
Psionic Vortex throws an orb that bursts into a sphere which pulls enemies toward its centre and damages them for 4 seconds (12-second cooldown). Her ultimate, Invisible Boundary, raises an 8-second circular force field that heals allies inside for 180 per second, slows enemies inside, and hides everything within it from players outside.
Marvel Rivals added Invisible Woman as a downloadable playable hero. After the Timestream Entanglement she turns her powers to stealth, scouting places that are too dangerous for the other heroes and leading rescue missions for civilians trapped by the creatures of the night. Malice, the villainous persona from her comics, appears in the game as an alternate skin.
