6th Layer: Capital of the Unreturned
The point of no return in the Abyss.
The sixth layer of the Abyss, the Capital of the Unreturned, is the point of no return: no human can survive the ascent from it with their humanity intact, so a White Whistle's descent there is called their Last Dive. It is officially reached through the Altar of the Absolute Boundary at Ido Front.
Background
Among its ruins lies a crystal-covered city the Abyss tribe called the Golden City, the likely source of Orth's rumour of a golden city at the bottom. Faputa, the Princess of the Hollows, lives in this layer, and Bondrewd sent Nanachi and Mitty down to it in his experiments.
