White Whistles
The highest rank of Abyss explorers and their unique whistles.
White Whistles are the legendary top rank of Cave Raiders in Made in Abyss, the few allowed to delve past the fifth layer; Riko's mother Lyza, Ozen and Bondrewd all hold it. The whistle itself is a one-of-a-kind relic that only its owner can use and that can awaken dormant relics.
Background
Bondrewd reveals that each White Whistle is made from a Life-reverberating Stone, a relic formed from a person resolved to give up everything for the whistle's intended owner, so it carries a mark unique to that bond. Some trace of the sacrificed person is thought to remain within it.
