Isle of the Alchemists

The Alchemists' island and the scene of the finale.

The Isle of the Alchemists is a location tied to the game's post-credits scene, where a character named Philippus Paracelsus is revealed to have been a guest at Hotel Krat.[1] In a post-credits scene, the character Giangio, who had been staying at Hotel Krat under a false persona as a timid ex-Alchemist, is revealed to be Philippus Paracelsus; he refers to the protagonist P as "a new brother" and describes sentient Puppets as "a new type of humanity" during a phone call with a woman who suggests that eternal life can manifest in various forms.[1] Paracelsus states his plan to come back to Krat at some point in order to locate a person he calls "Dorothy", whom he describes as "another key".[1]

How it changed

The post-credits scene reveals that Giangio, a guest at Hotel Krat who posed as a meek former Alchemist, is actually a crafty deceiver named Philippus Paracelsus.[1] Paracelsus is shown leaving Krat while on a phone conversation with a woman.[1] The conversation hints that Paracelsus and the woman played a key role in triggering recent events in Krat.[1] Paracelsus labels sentient Puppets "a new type of humanity"[1]

The woman on the phone points out that eternal life can take many forms.[1] During the same phone conversation, Paracelsus declares his intention to eventually go back to Krat.[1] He says he wants to find "Dorothy", referring to her as "another key".[1] The scene then cuts back to Krat, where an unidentified individual is shown walking across a rooftop and then clicks the heels of their shoes three times.[1]

What the maker and period sources say

A walkthrough by El Ouardighi notes that after reaching Hotel Krat, players encounter several NPCs including Treasure Hunter Alidoro.[2] The same source states that defeating main bosses in Lies of P rewards Rare Ergos.[2] The walkthrough also mentions that the hotel has security measures for human intruders, but these did not activate when the Alchemists attacked.[2]
