Lore & Background

Po starts out as an out-of-shape kung fu fan who helps his father serve noodles at the family restaurant and idolises the five masters trained by Shifu: Tigress, Monkey, Crane, Mantis and Viper. He can barely climb the steps up to the temple. Even so, he becomes Master Shifu's unlikely pupil and later leads the Furious Five. When Shifu finally hands him the Dragon Scroll it turns out to be blank, a reflective surface. Po then beats Tai Lung with the Wuxi Finger Hold, a technique he had taught himself, and is declared a master.
