Juventus is the most-supported football club in Italy, with more than 12 million fans, or tifosi, about 34% of Italian football supporters according to a 2016 survey by Demos & Pi, and one of the most supported in the world, with over 300 million supporters.

Background
Unlike most European supporter bases, which cluster around the club's home city, Juventus's following is spread across the whole country and the Italian diaspora, making the club a symbol of anti-parochialism. It is especially popular in mainland Southern Italy, Sicily and Malta, and its away following is larger than its support in Turin itself. In 2015 the club launched JKids for young supporters, with a zebra mascot called J.
