Jurassic World (2015)

Jurassic World is a 2015 American science fiction action film directed by Colin Trevorrow, who wrote the screenplay with Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver and Derek Connolly. It is the first film of the Jurassic World series and the fourth in the Jurassic Park franchise, after Jurassic Park III (2001). The cast includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D'Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, BD Wong and Irrfan Khan, with Wong returning from the original film.

Set twenty-two years after Jurassic Park on Isla Nublar, off the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, it shows a successful dinosaur theme park that has finally realised John Hammond's dream, until a transgenic dinosaur escapes its enclosure and goes on a rampage. Universal had planned a fourth film for 2005, but it stayed in development until Trevorrow was hired in 2013; filming ran from April to August 2014 in Louisiana and Hawaii.
