Viltrumite Occupation Force
The iron fist of the Empire crushing worlds beneath their boots.
The Viltrumite Empire's invasions of Earth and other worlds represent the terrifying military might of a conquering species. Unlike a standard peacekeeping unit, the Empire's forces act as an occupying army designed to crush resistance, enforce imperial law, and prepare conquered planets for eventual assimilation into the Viltrumite hierarchy. Composed of elite warriors who view themselves as superior beings, they operate with brutal efficiency, utilizing their immense strength and flight capabilities to dominate entire populations.
Led by high-ranking generals and often spearheaded by powerful figures like Conquest or Thragg, these forces serve as the primary antagonists during the Empire's invasion arcs. Their presence transforms Earth from a planet of potential heroes into a battleground for survival, forcing native super-powered beings into desperate alliances. The invading Viltrumites are not merely a group of soldiers but an extension of Viltrumite ideology: conquest is natural, and mercy is a weakness to be purged.

Lore & Background
The Viltrumite Empire expands by landing on planets, eliminating local resistance with overwhelming force, and either enslaving the population or wiping them out entirely to prevent future rebellion. When these forces arrive on Earth, they do not seek negotiation; they demand immediate surrender. Their tactics involve decimating major cities, hunting down any super-powered individuals who stand in their way, and establishing a regime of fear where survival depends on submission.
The psychological impact of the invading Viltrumites is as devastating as their physical power. They are designed to break the spirit of a civilization by demonstrating that no amount of heroism can stop them. They operate with a cold, calculated cruelty, often executing civilians or heroes in public to demoralize the opposition. Their presence on Earth marks a turning point where the concept of 'hero' shifts from protecting the innocent to fighting for the very existence of humanity against an alien juggernaut.
Reader's Guide
The founding purpose of the Viltrumite Occupation Force is strictly imperial expansion and resource acquisition through total domination. The hierarchy is rigid and meritocratic based on strength; the Supreme Commander, currently Thragg, holds absolute authority over all military operations, delegating commands to regional commanders like Conquest or Progeny who lead ground forces. Key members include high-ranking warriors sent specifically to eliminate threats such as Omni-Man's former allies. The force engages in major conflicts against Earth's defenders, including the Guardians of the Globe remnants and Mark Grayson (Invincible). Their ultimate fate on Earth involves a catastrophic defeat following an internal betrayal and the intervention of alien allies like the Viltrumite rebels or other intergalactic powers, leading to the withdrawal or destruction of their main invasion fleet.
