The wartime US agency that recruited Indiana Jones.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull reveals that Jones was recruited by the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) during World War II, attaining the rank of colonel in the United States Army. In the war he worked alongside George "Mac" McHale, who served in MI6.

The OSS plays no part in the films' artifact hunts: in Raiders of the Lost Ark, set in 1936, Jones is briefed by two US Army Intelligence agents about the Nazi dig at Tanis, and it is government agents who lock the Ark away at the end.
