Across 16 missions, players take turns controlling either Leeloo or Korben. Korben relies on guns with endless bullets, while Leeloo fights hand-to-hand and can pick up grenades. The pair battle the police, Mangalores, Zorg, and his thugs. Completing certain missions triggers short film clips.

Reception

Next Generation reviewed the PlayStation version, rating it two stars out of five, stating that there is mild entertainment but shortcomings are legion. The PlayStation version held a 32% score on GameRankings from 7 reviews. GameSpot gave it 2.4 out of 10, calling it possibly the worst game ever played. Game Revolution gave an F rating, citing poor level design and boring puzzles. IGN gave it 5 out of 10, saying it does what other games in the genre do but not better. GamePro gave three-and-a-half stars out of five, and Game Informer gave 7 out of 10, noting cumbersome controls and dumb enemies. The PC version received positive reception, with PC Zone giving 82%. The game sold 750,000 copies worldwide.
