Gameplay
Saturn Bomberman Fight!! ditches the 2D perspective of earlier games for a fully 3D isometric view. Instead of the series' usual one-hit kills, each of the 14 characters has a life bar that shrinks when hit. Players can jump over walls or dodge explosions. The stages are smaller than in previous 2D titles, and up to four players can join. Modes include Story, Training, Battle, and Survival.
Reception
Saturn Bomberman Fight!! received generally positive reviews. GameSpot rated it 7.4 out of 10, calling it a welcome surprise after Bomberman 64. The UK Sega Saturn Magazine gave it a score of 90 out of 100, while Famitsu scored it 23 out of 40 and Joypad gave it 82 out of 100. GameSpot later noted that the two best recent Bomberman titles were Saturn Bomberman and Saturn Bomberman Fight, but regretted their release on a system unpopular in America.
