Gameplay

Game A, called Bomber Boy in Japan, resembles other Bomberman games but introduces panels as power-ups. These panels are earned in levels and carried forward, or bought with GP collected based on level completion time and blocks destroyed. Before each round, the player selects which panels to use. Instead of linear level progression, a world map with nine locations is used. Game B, named Bomber Man in Japan, matches the original Bomberman but has a square stage area and the screen stays centered on Bomberman. Vs. Mode offers two games: Panel Mode, where players start with one bomb and a blast length of one, with Bomb Up and Fire Up panels appearing; and Powerful Mode, where players have four bombs and a blast length of four, with no panels.
