Dragon Eggs
The eggs the Targaryens guard, steal and bequeath.
Dragon eggs recur throughout House of the Dragon. After losing his place in the succession to Rhaenyra, Daemon steals the egg of the dead Prince Baelon and takes it to Dragonstone, claiming it is for an unborn child of Mysaria; Ser Otto Hightower demands it back, Rhaenyra retrieves it peacefully, and Mysaria leaves Daemon once she sees he was only using her.

Background
Not every egg hatches: one of the young Targaryen girls, unlike her sister and cousins, has an egg that never did, and Aegon the Younger keeps an unhatched egg. The dragon Syrax lays a clutch of three eggs on the Dragonmont of Dragonstone that Daemon recovers, and Rhaenyra later sends Rhaena away with the hatchlings Tyraxes and Stormcloud and four eggs, among them Viserys's chosen egg and a clutch from Syrax, so that she can protect the future of House Targaryen.
