Fiber Wire
47's garrote, in every game since the first.
The Fiber Wire, also spelled Fibrewire or Fiberwire, is a garrote and one of Agent 47's trademark tools alongside his dual AMT Hardballers, the most efficient and discreet way he has of killing a target silently. It has featured in every Hitman game.

Background
In the early games the wire had to be tensed before reaching the target and released to strangle; from Absolution onward the kill takes a single button press once 47 is behind the target. His animations have changed too, from hauling the victim onto his back to dragging them to the ground. In Blood Money and Silent Assassin he snaps the target's neck instead on stairs or at very close range, and in Blood Money he can garrote someone in a lift from the roof of the car. In Codename 47 it can be bought before missions for $110, and in HITMAN 2 it can be dropped as an object.
